How long is the walking tour?
Each walking tour lasts 1.5 to 2 hours and covers 2 miles with frequent stops to discuss the sites.
Where do we meet?
Tours begin at the corner of Morris Avenue and East Park Place (57 East Park Place), in front of the Presbyterian Church, across from the stately US Post Office. We'll return to this spot at the end of the tour.
What if it rains?
Tours run rain or shine, hot or cold. In the event that we need to cancel because of dangerous weather or local emergencies, we'll send you an email.
Is the tour accessible?
Yes. The entire tour is on city sidewalks and crosswalks. Most of the walk is on flat ground with several modest hills.
Where can I park?
Morristown has so many great lunch and dinner spots. Ask your guide for a recommendation that fits your taste.
Can you recommend a nearby place for lunch?
You may find a metered spot (2 hours) on or near the Green. There is a paid lot off of Morris Ave adjacent to the Post Office. There are 3 paid garages within 2 blocks of our meeting point (Ann-Bank Garage, DeHart St Garage, HQ Plaza Garage).
Who will be our guide?
Your guide is a veteran high school teacher and enthusiastic learner of local history who has lived in Morristown for the past 30 years.
What if none of the tour dates fit my schedule?
Email us with some available times, and the number in your party and we'll try to work something out!
Are childen welcome?
Yes, children (under 18) are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
What is the cost?
$20 per person. Groups of 3 or more receive a 25% discount. All payments collected at the start of the tour - cash or venmo.
